Free vs paid fireplace inspection — what's the difference
We offer both. Our free 12-point inspection covers every safety point visually and includes the camera scan. It's the right choice for annual maintenance and buying/selling in Toronto.
The paid WETT inspection ($249) adds the certified sign-off Ontario insurance carriers require. Choose the paid version when your broker has specifically asked for a WETT report.
The 12 points we inspect
Crown, cap, flashing, exterior masonry, flue interior (camera), creosote grade, damper operation, smoke chamber, firebox and hearth, draft test, CO/smoke detector placement, and — the whole point — a written PDF report you keep.
Every point is photo-documented. If we find nothing wrong, you owe us nothing. If we find something, the fixed-price repair quote is in the same PDF.
What Toronto homeowners say
"Booked a sweep and WETT inspection before winter. Crew arrived on time, laid down drop cloths, and walked me through the report photo by photo. Fixed pricing, no upsell — exactly what was quoted."
— Sarah M.
"Cracked clay liner in our 1962 fireplace. They installed a stainless liner and new cap in one day and the draft is perfect. Warranty paperwork emailed the same evening."
— David R.
"Called for a raccoon in the flue. They removed it humanely, sanitized the smoke chamber, and installed a stainless cap. Fair price, no drama, and they even followed up a week later."
— Priya S.
